Founded in London in 2009, Silence Media is a digital advertising consultancy on a mission to help brands grow using diverse advertising campaigns and inclusive media buying.

As members of The Conscious Advertising Network, we are committed to producing campaigns that are as diverse as the country we live in. We believe that all brands and organisations should recognise diversity and inclusion in their advertising as a moral imperative and a business necessity.

Our work here at Silence is at the intersection of design, technology and media buying. We produce programmatic display, paid social and digital Out-of-Home campaigns for our clients.

We charge separately for management and media. Our management fee includes our creative services and the planning and buying of media. Our media fee is neutral - we just pass on the costs.

We like to say that creativity is the only lever left to pull in digital advertising. You can't ask the technology and the media to work much harder.

Right now, less than 10% of ads in the UK feature actors from a diverse background even though customers who perceive a brand to be culturally relevant are three times more likely to buy it.

There's an opportunity here to improve our digital creatives by featuring more actors from diverse backgrounds.

As members of CAN, we honour all six of their manifestos in our work - they are 'anti-ad fraud', 'diversity', 'informed consent', 'hate speech', 'children's well being' and 'fake news'.
