We’re celebrating 7 years of Silence with an exploration of creativity

To celebrate our 7 year anniversary, we’re hosting a very special event on Monday the 7th March: a question and answer session about creativity with Danny Brooke-Taylor, the award-winning Creative Director of the advertising agency Lucky Generals.
Lucky Generals’ clients include Amazon, Twitter and Pot Noodle, and Danny was previously the Creative Director at Mother, TBWA and MCDB. His “Go on lad” ad for Hovis was voted “Ad of the Decade” by ITV viewers.
Danny will be talking about where he gets his ideas for campaigns from and how they fit with the 5 stages of the creative process discussed in A Technique for Producing Ideas, a book from 1939 by the American adman James Wood Young.
We have a book club here at Silence and A Technique For Producing Ideas is our latest book. It argues that ‘the production of ideas is just as definite a process as the production of Fords.’
The event takes place at Jerusalem on Rathbone Place from 6.30pm on Monday 7th March. Places are limited to 75 and you can sign-up on our Eventbrite page.
